The Bengals have signed CB Matthew McDoom.

McDoom is a rookie UDFA out of the University of Cincinnati. He was originally signed by the Baltimore Ravens following the draft, but was waived last week. Coming in late, he will try to make enough of an impression over the next couple of weeks to maybe carve out a spot on the practice squad.

Fellow rookie UDFA CB Ceyair Wright, meanwhile, has been placed on the exempt/left squad list.

He has left the team after having been offered the lead role in an upcoming movie. Wright, who has previous acting experience, thought this was an offer he could not pass up. Reportedly, he will look to again pursue a career in the NFL once this acting role has concluded.

Earlier this month, the Bengals also released S Isaiah Nwokobia.

Like the other two players in this article, he is a rookie UDFA. He was signed out of SMU following the draft, but wasn’t able to last until the team’s first preseason game, which took place on Thursday.

The Bengals do have another spot open on the roster. We’ll see if they add anyone else.
