The Bengals have hired Davis Koetter as assistant WR coach. He is the son of former NFL head coach, Dirk Koetter
Koetter is a former college WR who was at Boise State during his playing days, which lasted from 2018-2022.
Once his playing career was done, he went on to spend a couple of seasons with Texas on their coaching staff as an analyst, before then heading over to South Carolina in a similar role.
Interestingly enough, there has been no announcement that Jordan Salkin, the team’s assistant WR coach from last season, has been let go. But as some have already pointed out on Twitter, assistant QB coach Fredi Knighten is no longer listed on the Bengals website. This has led to some speculation that Salkin will take over as the assistant QB coach, with Koetter now serving as the assistant WR coach.
Of course, that last bit is speculation for now. We’ll see if the Bengals make any announcement when it comes to both Salkin and Knighten.
