The Bengals have signed LB Liam Anderson and LB Brian Asamoah to the practice squad. They have also released DE Myles Cole from the practice squad.
Anderson was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the Indianapolis Colts in 2023. He spent most of his rookie season on the practice squad, but was elevated for their game in week 17. Anderson spent time on both the practice squad and active roster in 2024, but was waived with an injury settlement prior to the start of this season.
Asamoah was originally a 3rd round pick of the Vikings in 2022. After spending 3 seasons in Minnesota, he was waived this past offseason. The Titans claimed him off waivers, but then waived him again during final cuts. He recently spent a couple of months with the Raiders on their practice squad, and now finds himself with the Bengals, after the Raiders let him go a couple of days ago.
The string of moves at the LB position make sense, given Shaka Heyward’s injury, and uncertainty surrounding Logan Wilson’s situation.
To make room, the Bengals released DE Myles Cole from the practice squad. He first joined the team back in September, but never received an elevation to appear in a game.
