The Bengals made a couple of roster moves late last week.
RB Kendall Milton has been promoted from the practice squad to the active roster.
Milton is a rookie undrafted free agent who originally signed with the Philadelphia Eagles after the draft. He was later cut, and ended up landing on the Bengals practice squad before the start of the regular season.
Milton’s promotion comes after Zack Moss sustained a neck injury at some point during the week. Moss is expected to miss an extended amount of time, which explains, not only Milton’s addition to the roster, but also the team’s reported interest in adding a RB at the trade deadline.
In a corresponding move, DT Lawrence Guy was released.
Guy is a veteran who entered the league in 2011 as a 7th round pick. He was signed midway through September after BJ Hill and Sheldon Rankins both went down with injuries. Now that the Bengals are in a better spot, health wise, at the position, Guy became expendable.
