The Bengals have placed three players on injury lists prior to the start of training camp, the team announced.
CB DJ Ivey and DT Devonnsha Maxwell have both been placed on the active/PUP list. Ivey is coming off a torn ACL that ended his season prematurely last year. Maxwell, meanwhile, spent all of last season on IR with a knee injury. Evidently, he also needs more time.
Rookie 4th round TE Erick All has been placed on the active/NFI list. He was not placed on the PUP list because his injury occurred in college, not the NFL. All, like Ivey, suffered a torn ACL last season, and will continue his recovery through the start of camp.
The fact that each of them have been placed on the active list, as opposed to reserve, is a positive sign. While they might not be ready for the start of camp, they can all be activated at any time. Should they remain on the injury list at the start of the regular season, they will be required to miss the first 4 games before being eligible for activation.
