The Bengals have added to their OL depth by signing Gunnar Vogel.
Vogel is a rookie undrafted free agent out of Northwestern. In five years with Northwestern, he played in 25 games, starting 18 of them. Vogel originally signed with the Chicago Bears a few weeks after the draft, but was cut about a month later.
The Bengals were in need of some more OL depth, especially after Hakeem Adeniji got hurt. The Bengals worked out Vogal earlier this week, along with fellow OL Austin Reiter and Tyler Gauthier. Vogal was the only one to sign. Also part of that workout were WR’s Rashard Davis, Krishawn Hogan, and Reece Horn, who was signed yesterday.
Vogel is likely a camp body with the Bengals. He may be able to sneak onto the practice squad if he can out play some of the backend guys, like Isaiah Prince.
