The Bengals exit their bye week looking to keep the ball rolling. After a rough start, they have now racked up two straight wins to get back into the AFC North race. Expectations will be rising, as Joe Burrow’s calf seems to be at or nearing 100%. His mobility looked much better in the last two games, and having a week off to follow should only do him good. Starting LT Orlando Brown was dealing with a groin injury, but is expected to play. Akeem Davis-Gaither continues his run of missed games. He is out once again. As well, Chase Brown is not only out after picking up a hamstring injury during practice, but he has been placed on IR and will miss a minimum of 4 games.
For the 49ers, two big names are listed as questionable. Star LT Trent Williams is expected to miss with an ankle injury. Brock Purdy is more of a toss up. He participated fully in practice, but will have to pass the concussion protocol prior to Sunday’s game.
UPDATE: Purdy has cleared concussion protocol and is expected to play.
