Week 10 Injury Report: Bengals vs Texans; WR Charlie Jones Designated for Return off IR

Health has been trending up lately for the Bengals, especially given the whole Joe Burrow saga that plagued the early parts of the season. However, the injury bug has yet again made an appearance in Cincinnati, following week 9. Now, I should note that there is nothing catastrophic at this point, which is good. But several starters have been dealing with some stuff.

Both sides of the ball will be missing a starter, as Tee Higgins and Sam Hubbard have been ruled out. Star WR Ja’Marr Chase is also dealing with an issue that he picked up after a fall in week 9. He is questionable.

On the bright side, rookie wideout Charlie Jones has been designated earlier this week to return off of IR. He had been out with a thumb injury. The Bengals have three weeks from when they designated him to return off IR to then officially activate him. This means that he is not a guarantee to suit up this week. But there is a chance. Jones is listed as questionable.

Though the Bengals are dealing with their fair share of injuries this week, it doesn’t compare to the laundry list of players that makes up the injury report for the Texans. Not only that, but it is loaded with notable pieces of that team. Among others, starting WR Nico Collins is out, as is S Jimmy Ward, and RB Dameon Pierce. Starting CB Steven Nelson is questionable. Star rookie DE Will Anderson, meanwhile, was looking doubtful earlier in the week, but has worked his way up to a full practice on Friday. It looks like he will be all good for Sunday.
