The NFL has announced the rosters for the 2022 Pro Bowl. The roster for the AFC includes three members of the Cincinnati Bengals, with another five listed as alternates.

RB Joe Mixon was selected to his first Pro Bowl, as he has yet another season where he is near the top of the league in rushing. In fact, Mixon is currently second in the NFL with 1094 yards rushing. He also has 12 rushing TD’s. Mixon has earned praise from around the league, not only for his great stats, but the way in which he has been getting them. Running behind an inconsistent offensive line, he has done well to create yards for himself, even when the lanes are hard to come by.

WR Ja’Marr Chase was also selected to the Pro Bowl. The rookie has turned heads this season by making several big plays at key moments for the Bengals. Chase is currently ninth in the NFL with 1038 receiving yards. He has also scored 10 TD’s. This is the first time a Bengals rookie has been selected to the Pro Bowl since Andy Dalton and AJ Green both made it in 2012.

On the defensive side, DE Trey Hendrickson has been voted in. Hendrickson is in his first season with the Bengals, and has been one of the most valuable players for the team. He has been a consistent presence in opposing teams’ backfields and is currently fifth in the league in sacks, with 13.0. Like Mixon, this is Hendrickson’s first Pro Bowl selection.

In addition to those three, an additional five Bengals have been selected as Pro Bowl alternates. Alternates will fill in for any of the original selections that do not make the trip. Unlike the original selections, the alternates only earn the Pro Bowl selection to their name if they actually attend.

The five members to have been named alternates are QB Joe Burrow (second alternate), LS Clark Harris (second alternate), DE Sam Hubbard (fourth alternate), DT Larry Ogunjobi (fourth alternate), and CB Mike Hilton (fifth alternate).
