The Bengals have re-signed QB Jake Browning to a 2 year contract.

This deal was done a couple days before the draft. Browning was tendered by the team as an exclusive rights free agent, which meant that he could not negotiate with any other team. The two sides have reached a deal, which keeps him in Cincinnati for another couple of seasons to backup Joe Burrow. Browning filled in nicely when Burrow went down last season.

At around the same time, the Bengals also signed QB Logan Woodside.

You may remember Woodside, who was a 7th round pick of the Bengals back in 2017. However, his first stint in Cincinnati was short. He was cut, and went on to spend time with the Titans and Falcons, as well as some time in other leagues. Woodside now returns to Cincinnati and will compete for the QB3 job with UDFA Rocky Lombardi.
