The Houston Texans have signed former Bengals OT Trent Brown to a 1 year deal worth up to $3M.

It was only a 1 year stint in Cincinnati for the NFL veteran and longtime New England Patriot. He was added last offseason to be the starter at RT, and did get the job out of camp, despite a 1st round pick being used on his position, in Amarius Mims.

Brown started the first 3 games of the 2024 season, and played reasonably well, but went down in week 3 with an injury. It was later determined that he suffered a torn patella, and his season was over.

For the Bengals, Mims filled in as the starter, while Cody Ford served as first off the Bengals for the rest of the season. At this point in time, this is still the current arrangement. However, we may still see the team add another veteran free agent and/or a draft pick to compete.
