Former Bengals LB Logan Wilson has announced his retirement from the NFL.
Wilson was originally a 3rd round pick of the Bengals in 2020. As a rookie, his potential was evident, and he quickly established himself as a plus starter in 2021, helping lead them to an appearance in the Super Bowl.
He had been a mainstay on the team’s defence, but his play took a big step back this past season. After being benched, Wilson requested a trade, and the Bengals were able to work out a deal with the Dallas Cowboys.
In a statement, Wilson thanked his family, teammates, coaches, and the fans, emphasising that Cincinnati will always be a special place to him.
He finishes his career with 565 tackles, 5.5 sacks, and 11 interceptions in 83 games played.
