The Indianapolis Colts have signed former Bengals CB Cam Taylor-Britt to a 1 year deal.
The financial details haven’t come out yet, but the Bengals will be hoping it is enough to factor into the compensatory pick formula.
Taylor-Britt was originally selected in the 2nd round by Cincinnati in 2022. The early portions of his career showed a lot of potential, and he quickly became a starter on the boundary. An upside pick in the draft, the high end flashes and play making ability were on display.
Unfortunately, the last two seasons saw a different player take the field. The raw player that showed in his draft tape suddenly reappeared with the same issues, which we didn’t see much of in his first two years. A lot of biting on route fakes and mental errors led to big plays being given up, and then multiple benchings.
Taylor-Britt will reunite with Lou Anarumo in Indianapolis. As for the Bengals, DJ Turner and Daxton Hill seem to be locked into the outside spots. This after Hill started out in the slot last season. Both players are working on extensions with the Bengals, while the slot position is currently held by Jalen Davis. We’ll see if they add someone to compete for that spot later on.
