The Atlanta Falcons have signed former Bengals CB Tre Flowers.
Flowers was originally a 5th round pick of the Seahawks in 2018. He was released part way through the 2021 season and claimed by the Bengals off waivers.
Flowers was primarily a depth player and special teamer for the Bengals, however, he did have a bigger role in select games. Specifically, ones where the opposing team featured a quality TE in their offence. Flowers was matched up against guys like Mark Andrews and Travis Kelce, faring quite well in this role.
Though Flowers could contribute in that specific role, he was otherwise pretty limited. The team seemed intent on upgrading their depth. With the Bengals adding two members to the CB room through the draft, the door was shut on a return to the Bengals for Flowers.
