Bengals WR Pooka Williams has been suspended two games for violating the NFL’s PED’s policy.

Williams is a rookie UDFA out of Kansas. To date, he has spent the majority of the season on the Bengals practice squad. He appeared in one game earlier in the year, vs the Chargers, recording 3 kickoff returns for 52 yards.

Williams was originally a RB, but made the switch to WR following the preseason. He will be eligible to return in week 18 against the Cleveland Browns.

The Bengals took another hit at LB on Sunday, with Joe Bachie tearing his ACL vs the Broncos and being placed on IR. Needing a replacement at the position, the team has promoted Keandre Jones from the practice squad to the active roster.

Jones, a former Ohio State Buckeye, was originally brought in by the Bengals in September of last year. Now in his 2nd season, Jones has spent most of his time on the Bengals practice squad, appearing in only 2 games this year, matching his total from last season.

With the open spot, Cincinnati has added LB Tegray Scales.

Scales was originally a UDFA in 2018. The athletic LB has bounced around since his draft year, spending time with the Rams, Steelers, and Browns, as well as the Dallas Renegades in the XFL.

Additionally, the Bengals have added P Drue Chrisman back onto the practice squad, releasing CB Holton Hill in a corresponding move.

Chrisman has seemingly been bouncing non stop, being signed and then released from the team’s practice squad several times since signing as a UDFA this year. Hill, meanwhile, had been on the Bengals practice squad since mid-October.
