The Bengals have signed WR Kendric Pryor to the practice squad, and have released QB Reid Sinnett from it.
Pryor is a familiar face in Cincinnati. He was originally signed by the Bengals as an undrafted free agent in 2022. An impressive preseason that year led many to believe that he would crack the 53 man roster. However, he just missed out, and was waived during final cuts. The Bengals wanted him back on the practice squad, but he was claimed by the Jacksonville Jaguars.
While Pryor spent the year on the Jaguars roster, he did not see any game action. This year, they waived him during final cuts, and he had since been a free agent. He now lands back in Cincinnati at a time where the team is dealing with some injuries at the position. Charlie Jones is on IR with a thumb injury, and Tee Higgins is dealing with a rib fracture.
Still, Pryor joins a practice squad that is crowded with WR’s. He is now the fourth one there, joining Stanley Morgan, Kwamie Lassiter, and Shedrick Jackson.
The Bengals made room for Pryor on the practice squad by releasing QB Reid Sinnett from it.
Sinnett originally joined the Bengals during training camp to serve as a third arm after Joe Burrow’s calf injury. He was waived during final cuts, but again rejoined the practice squad after Burrow aggravated his injury in week 2. In week 3, Sinnett was elevated from the practice squad and active in the Bengals week 3 matchup against the Rams, serving as the 3rd string QB.
As it stands, AJ McCarron is the lone QB on the practice squad, which remains at the 16 man capacity.
