With the mounting injuries at DT, the Bengals have made an addition to the roster. They have poached DT Zach Kerr off of the Arizona Cardinals practice squad.

Kerr, 31, was originally signed by the Colts as an undrafted free agent in 2014. He has since spent time with four other teams: the Broncos, Cardinals, Panthers, and 49ers. He then was brought back by Arizona for a second stint.

The veteran tackle has appeared in 95 games, racking up 173 total tackles, 9.5 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, and 1 fumble recovery.

The Bengals made room on the roster by releasing G Xavier Su’a-Filo. He was just recently activated off IR, but has fallen behind guys like Hakeem Adeniji and Jackson Carman on the depth chart. They have since signed him back to the practice squad. Su’a-Filo is in his second year with the team, but has only played a small handful of games due to injuries.

Additionally, the team has signed DT Doug Costin to the practice squad, while releasing P Drue Chrisman and LS Colin Holba.

Costin was originally signed by the Jaguars as an undrafted free agent in 2020. To date, he hasn’t spent time on an active roster.

Holba, meanwhile, was recently signed to the practice squad, but evidently didn’t last long. As for Chrisman, I’ve run out of things to say. He has bounced on and off the practice squad so many times that it feels like this could be a record. I expect him back at some point, whether it is while the playoff run is still alive, or for the start of the offseason.
