The Bengals have made three signings ahead of training camp, bringing in DT Domenique Davis, DE Raymond Johnson, and LB Tegray Scales.
Davis was originally signed as a UDFA in 2020 by the New York Jets. Most recently, he played for the Houston Gamblers of the USFL. He suited up in 10 games, recording 57 tackles and 3.5 sacks for the Gamblers.
Johnson was signed as a UDFA by the New York Giants following the 2021 NFL Draft. He managed to find his way into 15 games for the Giants. Over that span, he recorded 1 sack and 4 tackles.
Scales was originally a 2018 UDFA signing of the Los Angeles Rams. He has bounced around quite a bit, spending time with several NFL teams, including the Steelers and Colts. Short stints in the XFL, CFL, and USFL are also mixed in. Scales actually spent about 10 days on the Bengals practice squad last season, before being poached by the Steelers.
These signings bring the Bengals roster up to the 90 man limit. It should also be noted that S Jessie Bates is not included in that total, as he has not yet signed his franchise tag.
