The Bengals have signed DT Carlos Davis.
Davis spent last season with the Birmingham Stallions of the UFL. There, he racked up 7 sacks, 21 tackles, and a forced fumble.
He was originally a 7th round pick of the Steelers in 2020. Davis appeared in 12 games for them, over the course of 3 seasons, contributing 1 sack, 12 tackles, and 3 tackles for a loss.
This move comes after the Bengals already added two defensive lineman just the other day. The team has been adding depth ahead of their preseason opener. It is needed, with Jay Tufele and McKinnley Jackson banged up, and Cam Sample being placed on IR with a season ending Achilles injury.
