The NFL had their annual award show on Thursday, with two Bengals bringing home awards.
QB Joe Burrow was named the NFL’s Comeback Player of the Year, beating out Dak Prescott of the Dallas Cowboys.
Burrow was coming off a rookie year that was cut short due to a torn ACL, as well as other damage in the knee. He went on to lead the Bengals to an AFC North title, passing for 4611 yards and 34 TD’s, while completing 70.4% of his passes.
WR Ja’Marr Chase also took home an award. He was named the NFL’s Offensive Rookie of the Year. Chase finished 1st in rookie receiving yards and 4th overall. He racked up 1455 yards and 13 TD’s on 81 receptions. He added an additional 21 yards on the ground.
Chase exploded onto the scene early in the year, before a few quiet weeks allowed Mac Jones into the conversation. Chase, however, picked it back up before the end of the year, drawing off in the competition.
