Bengals QB Joe Burrow Undergoes Surgery, Is Placed on IR

Bengals QB Joe Burrow has undergone surgery on his wrist, and been placed on IR.

The star QB’s season is over after he suffered a torn ligament in his wrist during week 11’s game against the Ravens. He was actually officially placed on IR last week, which made room for Chase Brown’s activation off of IR.

According to the team, Burrow’s surgery, which was required to repair ligament damage, was a success. By all accounts, he is expected to make a full recovery. Burrow now begins rehab, and the hope is that he is ready for the offseason programs. In the meantime, he should continue to remain on the sideline during games, lending support to whoever the starter is.
