The Bengals have signed LB Austin Calitro off the practice squad.

Calitro was signed to the practice squad back in November for his second stint with the Bengals. He was also with the team during the 2020 offseason before being traded to the Broncos for Christian Covington.

Austin Calitro has played in 89 career games and 1 with the Bengals. The team used one of their temporary practice squad elevations on him for the Broncos game in week 15. Now, he will be on the active roster, meaning the team does not need to activate him.

With the open spot on the practice squad, Cincinnati has signed TE Scotty Washington.

If the name sounds familiar, that’s because it is. Washington was signed by the Bengals as an undrafted free agent in 2020, and spent that season on the practice squad. He returned for the 2021 offseason, but was waived during final cuts.

He spent his first year with the team as a WR, but the 6’5″ Washington has seemingly made the switch to TE.

Additionally, the Bengals have signed LS Colin Holba to the practice squad.

Holba was originally 6th pick of the Steelers back in 2017. The 27 year old has since spent time with the Jaguars, 49ers, Giants, and Rams, before joining the Bengals.
