The Bengals have signed K Cade York off of the practice squad.
York has spent the last couple of weeks on the practice squad, kicking in the past 2 games as a standard elevation. He now earns a promotion to the active roster after going 3/3 on field goals and 7/8 on extra points. York was initially signed to fill in for the injured Evan McPherson, and it looks like he will continue to do so for the rest of the regular season.
With a couple of open spots on the practice squad, the Bengals made some additions there, as well. LB Joe Giles-Harris and S Jaylen Key have both been brought aboard.
Giles-Harris was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the Jaguars in 2019. Playing in 20 games thus far into his career, he has managed to rack up 20 tackles and a sack. Recently, he had been with the Patriots on their practice squad, but was released earlier this month.
As for Key, he is a rookie 7th round pick of the Jets. He was actually the last overall selection, Mr. Irrelevant. Key was unable to crack their roster, instead spending 6 games on their practice squad, before being released at the end of October.
