The Bengals have signed DE Isaiah Foskey off of the practice squad to the active roster.
This move was actually made late last week ahead of their game against the Patriots. It was to provide further depth with Shemar Stewart and Trey Hendrickson both missing time.
Foskey was originally a 3rd round pick of the New Orleans Saints in 2023, and first signed with the Bengals practice squad in early September.
The team also waived QB Sean Clifford on Monday. Clifford was signed off of the practice squad when Joe Flacco first sustained his shoulder injury. Although Flacco played through it, they wanted Clifford on the roster to serve as the emergency 3rd QB.
With Joe Burrow set to return on Thursday, Flacco will become the backup, with Jake Browning likely serving as the emergency 3rd QB. Clifford cleared waivers on Tuesday, and the Bengals were able to retain him on the practice squad.
