After losing Brian Callahan to the Titans earlier in the offseason, the Bengals will be losing another member of their coaching staff, according to Ian Rapoport. Safeties/secondary coach Robert Livingston will be leaving to join the college ranks.

Livingston will be joining Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes as their new defensive coordinator. It is a chance for him to call plays.

Livingston originally joined the Bengals in 2012 as a scout, before joining Marvin Lewis’s staff as a coach in 2015. He continued to move his way up, eventually becoming the team’s secondary coach in 2017, with additional responsibilities as the safeties coach being given to him in 2018.

He was one of the holdovers from the Lewis era, sticking around when Zac Taylor was brought in. With the Bengals still looking for a new QB coach, after Dan Pitcher was promoted to offensive coordinator, the team now has two spots to fill.
