Bengals Designate CB Cam Taylor-Britt for Return off IR; DT Domenique Davis Back to Practice Squad

The Bengals have designated CB Cam Taylor-Britt for return off of IR, opening up his 21 day practice window.

Taylor-Britt had missed time earlier in the year, and had been slated to return in week 13, but he aggravated the injury in practice, and ended up on IR. He is expected to be activated for this week, and should provide the secondary with a big boost. Rookie DJ Turner has shown flashes, but has also struggled in a bigger role. As well, Chidobe Awuzie has had a tough time for much of the season, coming off last year’s injury. When Taylor-Britt was healthy, Awuzie and Turner were in a bit of a rotation. Returning to that could help both of them.

To make room for Taylor-Britt’s eventual placement onto the roster, DT Domenique Davis was waived, after being signed off the practice squad prior to the Bengals week 16 game against the Steelers. He has since cleared waivers, and been re-signed to the practice squad.
