The Bengals have cut QB Logan Woodside and G Tashawn Manning. Additionally, they have signed C Andrew Raym.

These moves come after the team also signed QB Desmond Ridder earlier in the day.

Woodside was originally a 7th round pick of the Bengals in 2019. He didn’t catch on with the Bengals at that time, but made it back for another stint last year. His 2024 season was spent on the practice squad as the 3rd string QB behind Joe Burrow and Jake Browning. Woodside was expected to compete for the same job once again, but the Bengals decided to get younger and go with a bit more upside in Ridder.

Manning was originally signed by the Baltimore Ravens in 2023 as an undrafted free agent. He spent the 2023 season on their practice squad before being cut just prior to the start of the 2024 season. Soon after, he was signed to the Bengals practice squad, where he remained for the duration of the season. If he had made it to camp, he likely would have been competing again for a practice squad spot. However, the Bengals had some other moves in mind, and needed to clear space.

Raym was originally signed by the Carolina Panthers as an undrafted free agent in 2024. He made their roster out of camp and spent roughly the first quarter of the season there, appearing in 1 game, before being waived. The Panthers then signed him back to the practice squad, where he remained for the rest of the season. Raym will now try to crack the roster in Cincinnati, but he enters behind Ted Karras and Matt Lee. Fellow C, Seth McLaughlin, is currently on the active/NFI list, and will also factor into the competition if he can get cleared at some point.
