Notes:

Browning has beaten out Siemian for QB2. Possibility remains that they add a QB via the waiver wire tomorrow. But for now, Browning is the guy.

They kept 4 RB’s on the initial 53 man roster. I don’t see the need, given that the RB position is rather easily replaceable, especially when it comes to depth. But the staff has always liked Williams.

A surprise comes at TE. Most thought Tanner Hudson earned a place, but he has been released. As a vested vet, he does not need to pass through waivers. Maybe the Bengals re-sign him after the roster shuffles a little bit.

I’m surprised to see Ford make it over Adeniji. Though Adeniji hasn’t been a world beater, Ford has been one of the worst OL in the league, and was terrible in the preseason.

Thought this might be the end of Trey Hill in Cincy, with Scharping getting reps at C. However, they have decided to keep him around, for the time being at least.

Tough to see Raymond Johnson waived. He fought hard to make it. I included him in my predictions, but I wasn’t sure if the Bengals would want to keep 6 DE’s. I don’t think he passes through waivers, but if he does, he’ll be back on the practice squad.

This is the initial 53 man roster, but lots can still change in the coming days. Waiver claims announced tomorrow, and the practice squad will begin to take shape after that.
