The changes to the Bengals coaching staff continue to increase, the latest change being the addition of Ronnie Regula as a quality control coach.

Regula worked last year as the TE coach and special teams coordinator at New Mexico State. His previous 2 seasons were spent at Notre Dame as a senior defensive analyst. Before that, he worked at the University of Miami, among other schools.

This move comes not long after the Bengals lost assistant special teams coach Colt Anderson. He is being poached away by old friend Brian Callahan, and will be joining the Tennessee Titans as their special teams coordinator.

Anderson played 8 years in the NFL as a S after going undrafted in 2009. He was brought onto the Bengals coaching staff in 2020.

Though Regula has been given a different job title, you have to wonder if he is a technical replacement for Anderson, given his background coaching special teams at the college level. If not, we may still see one more hire in the near future.
